It's Official! Cutters Skeet is a money earning barrel horse!! so proud of this little mare!! she did so amazingly well at the Shelby ShowPlace arena on 9/3/2012! Her first big show and she made a check! she was 1st in 3D Youth. Very proud of her. She handled the chaos and different environment very well. Her winning time was 17.227 so now Fallon and Cutter have a goal, beat their best time.
Cutter's background is awful. We rescued her from a bad breeder. the mare was in horrible shape, skin and bones, about a 3 on the weight scale when we brought her home in October of 2008. We fed her and loved her and vetted her and well, did what a horse mom should do. In 2010 my daughter broke her out. she's a great trail mare. Then my daughter started doing barrels, this year she decided Cutter either had to go or have a job. Fallon started working Cutter on barrels, lots of slow work and pattern at the beginning of the summer, so she's been on thepattern maybe 4 months at the time of this money run. She still has a lot of work to go. The sweet thing about Cutter is she doesn't understand her job, she doesn't understand the pattern but she wants to make Fallon happy. honestly and truly this horse doesn't have the "heart for barrels" but she has the heart for my daughter and gives her everything even when she doesn't understand it. Very proud of Cutter, our money making 3D barrel horse.
Oh yeah, she's a granddaughter of Cutter Bill, she's foundation registered, and will eventually be both Palomino Breeders registered (new program called "Palomino Bred") and Buckskin Horse Association too. She's got it all and is pretty to look at!
